CALL FOR ABSTRACTS 

The Program Committee invites abstract submissions in prostate cancer research and the delivery of care for prostate cancer patients for admission into the Asia-Pacific Prostate Cancer Conference Program for 2025. 

Authors are requested to review the below instructions and details in the abstract submission portal before preparing and submitting an abstract.

PRESENTATION TYPES
APCC is accepting abstracts for the following streams: 
  • Clinical Urology
  • Nursing & Allied Health 
The program committee is particularly interested in submissions with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence into prostate cancer diagnostic and treatment algorithms, next generation targeted therapies and the increasing role of metastasis directed therapies.

You must indicate the type of presentation when submitting online.


Oral Presentation (15 minutes)  - NEW FOR 2025!
A 15 minute oral presentation to be included in one of the Conference concurrent sessions. Individual speaking time will be provided upon acceptance to the program. Please note a limited number of oral presentations will be accepted. In the event that we are unable to offer you a speaking slot you may be offered a rapid fire or poster presentation.

Poster Only
An electronic or printed poster will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the Conference. The format of the poster (electronic or printed) will be confirmed to presenters upon their acceptance into the program.

An electronic poster (1 x 16:9 PowerPoint Slide) will be required to be submitted via the Conference platform which will then be available on the Conference app for delegates to view.

Rapid Fire Presentation (5 minutes)
An electronic or printed poster will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the Conference. The format of the poster (electronic or printed) will be confirmed to presenters upon their acceptance into the program.

An electronic poster (1 x 16:9 PowerPoint Slide) will be required to be submitted via the Conference platform which will then be available on the Conference app for delegates to view.

A short 5 minute PowerPoint Presentation with a maximum of 3–4 slides will be required to present your Rapid Fire Presentation at the Conference. Further information will be provided upon acceptance to the program.

The final decision on acceptances and on publication and presentation formats are at the discretion of the Convening Committee.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES
  • Abstracts must be presented in English and be a piece of original work. Encore or previously presented abstracts will not be accepted. 
  • Abstracts are limited to 300 words, excluding author(s) names, affiliations, organisations and references. 
  • Results must be included. Abstracts with "results will be presented" statement will not be considered. 
  • If the abstract is submitted by someone other than the presenter, the author(s) and presenter must be clearly identified. 
Please submit your abstract in the following format:
  • Text should be entered in upper and lower case. Please do not type abstract titles or text all in capital letters. 
  • There is a maximum of 300 words for the abstract. 
  • The abstract should include objectives, methods, results and conclusions. 
  • Conclusions of the form - “Results will be discussed” - are not acceptable. 
  • Only standard abbreviations may be used.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS
Once submitted, abstracts can be amended via the portal up until the submission due date of Friday 11 April.

Abstract review results will be communicated to the corresponding authors via email on Friday 9 May.

Please note the details provided as the author contact should be for the nominated main contact for your abstract. All correspondence relating to the submission will be directed to this person and they should in turn distribute to all co-presenters.

Acceptance of this offer must be notified to the Conference Office by no later than Friday 16 May.

ABSTRACT PRESENTER REGISTRATION

The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the Conference. Similarly, no presenter fee is paid to successful participants. 

Presentations must be delivered in person and the ability and willingness to present in Sydney will be a condition of acceptance into the program.

It is a requirement that the nominated presenter of all successful abstract submissions is registered to attend the Conference. 

All presenters must register for the Conference before Friday 16 May in order for their presentation to be included in the Conference program.
