Ruban Thanigasalam is an experienced robotic uro-oncological surgeon who has special research interests in prostate and renal robotic surgical trials.

He is a research lead in robotic surgery at the RPA-IAS, University of Sydney. He has public appointments at Concord hospital and privately at Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.

He completed his undergraduate medical degree at the university of London and his urological training is Sydney. He then spent two years in Paris doing a robotic surgery fellowship.

He is a lifelong Liverpool supporter.
