Abstract Submission

Accepting abstracts for our multidisciplinary prostate cancer program

Abstract Information
 
The Program Committee invites abstract submissions in prostate cancer research and the delivery of care for prostate cancer patients for admission into the Asia-Pacific Prostate Cancer Conference Program for 2021. 
 
Authors are requested to review the instructions below before preparing and submitting an abstract.
 
The Program Committee will only communicate via email with the nominated contact for the abstract submission therefore, it is imperative that the details given in the address for correspondence section are accurate. It is expected that the contact person will communicate the outcome of the abstract submission with all authors.
 
It is a requirement that the nominated presenter of all successful abstract submissions is registered to attend the Conference. Please submit a short 50 word biography with your abstract including your institution. If multiple authors please provide for the person who will attend the Conference.
 
Successful abstracts will be notified via email. Should you have any questions regarding the abstract submission process please do not hesitate to contact conference@apcr.org.au.
 
 
Key Dates
  • Abstract Submissions are now open
  • Abstract Submissions close on Friday 9 August, 2021 (There will be no extensions)
  • Presenters will be notified Friday 20 August, 2021
  • Presenters must be registered by no later than Friday 3 September, 2021

Presentation Types
APCC is accepting abstracts for the following streams Clinical Urology, Nursing & Allied Health and Translational Science. During the submission process you will be asked to indicate which stream you wish to submit to. Please only select ONE stream.

You must indicate the type of presentation when submitting online.
 
A. Poster Only
  • A printed poster will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the Conference. (Poster in portrait orientation that is no greater than 100cm wide by 120cm high)
  • An electronic poster (1 x 16:9 PowerPoint Slide) will be required to be uploaded to the Conference platform and will be available on the mobile site for delegates to view.

B. Rapid Fire Presentation
  • A printed poster will be displayed at the venue for the duration of the Conference. (Poster in portrait orientation that is no greater than 100cm wide by 120cm high)
  • An electronic poster (1 x 16:9 PowerPoint Slide) will be required to be uploaded to the Conference platform and will be available on the mobile site for delegates to view
  • A short 5 minute PowerPoint Presentation maximum 3 – 4 slides will be presented and will be available for all streams.
The final decision on acceptances and on publication and presentation formats are at the discretion of the Convening Committee.
 
Abstract Guidelines
  1. Abstracts must be presented in English and be a piece of original work. Encore or previously presented abstracts will not be accepted.
  2. Abstracts are limited to 300 words, excluding author(s) names, affiliations, organisations and references.
  3. Results must be included. Abstracts with "results will be presented" statement will not be considered.
  4. If the abstract is submitted by someone other than the presenter, the author(s) and presenter must be clearly identified.
Please submit your abstract in the following format:
  • Text should be entered in upper and lower case. 
  • Please do not type abstract titles or text all in capital letters. 
  • There is a maximum of 300 words for the abstract. 
  • The abstract should include objectives, methods, results and conclusions. 
  • Conclusions of the form - “Results will be discussed” - are not acceptable. Only standard abbreviations may be used.
