THURSDAY MORNING WORKSHOP (8.30AM - 12.45PM)

Workshop: Clinical Urology & Radiation Oncology - The role of metastasis directed therapy in oligometastatic prostate cancer: Evidence, integration into practice and future directions

Aug 13, 2026 | 0830 - 1245

As the treatment landscape for prostate cancer continues to evolve, metastasis-directed therapy (MDT) has emerged as a compelling strategy for managing oligometastatic disease.

This workshop, featuring lectures and case-based debates, will explore the biological rationale, advanced imaging techniques, and clinical trial data shaping the role of MDT in contemporary prostate cancer care.

Led by a multidisciplinary faculty of experts, the session will address key clinical questions:

  • How should patients be selected for MDT?
  • Can MDT delay disease progression or defer androgen deprivation therapy?
  • Does MDT improve survival in hormone-sensitive prostate cancer?
  • What is its potential role in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC)?

Attendees will leave with a nuanced, evidence-informed understanding of when, how, and for whom MDT can offer the greatest benefit.

Whether you're a radiation oncologist, urologist, medical oncologist, or imaging specialist, this workshop delivers cutting-edge insights into one of the most promising frontiers in prostate cancer management. Come learn about these aspects, find resources for your location of practice and share your experiences.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON WORKSHOP (1.30PM - 5.30PM)

Workshop: Clinical Urology & Radiation Oncology - Advances in focal therapy for prostate cancer: From patient selection to clinical outcomes

Aug 13, 2026 | 1330 - 1730

Focal therapy is emerging as an important treatment option for selected men with localised prostate cancer, offering the potential for oncological control while minimising treatment-related morbidity.

As the landscape of prostate cancer treatment evolves, focal therapy is gaining increasing attention as a precision-based approach for selected patients with localised disease.

This program will bring together leading clinicians to review the latest evidence supporting focal therapy, discuss advances in imaging such as MRI and PSMA for patient selection and follow-up, and examine the clinical decision-making involved in treating higher-grade disease and managing recurrence. We will explore the evolving evidence base, advances in imaging for patient selection, and the role of multidisciplinary decision-making in focal therapy.

Through expert presentations and multidisciplinary case discussions, participants will gain practical insights into emerging focal treatment modalities and the future direction of focal therapy in prostate cancer care.
